Naming a video game F.E.A.R. sets the bar high immediately. At the least, the game better be scary as hell. At the most, the game absorbs the titular noun to become the industry standard. And while more players appear to value the original over the sequel, it’s violently clear, this time around, that Day 1 Studios is doing everything in their power to scare the shit out of us.
Like bringing in John Carpenter (Escape from L.A., Big Trouble in Little China). Also of note, Rob Zombie produced a re-creation of Carpenter’s Halloween, and Rob Zombie is the exponential infinitive of scary shit.
Or making a co-op campaign mode where we get to play as Alma Wade’s two children. Now, I wouldn’t fuck Alma Wade with Solid Snake’s dick. (Which, on a side note, may be remarkable as her two children show striking resemblance to both Liquid and Solid Snake). See what I mean?
However, Day 1 Studios made the executive decision to make F.E.A.R. 3 inherently multiplayer. The campaign may be played either solo or co-op, but the multiplayer engine boasts a new spin on team play: just about everything in 4′s.
Like F**king Run mode. You and three team members have to evade the encroaching wall of Alma’s destruction, while surviving random enemies who excel in killing your weakest members.
Or Contraction mode. Yeah, you know where this is going. Wave after wave of enemies surround your safe house, and you and your teammates need to conserve ammo, find guns, and ultimately survive the ensuing shitshow.
Soul Survivor and Soul King boast a different play style, and that involves a lot of body swapping and incessant killing. You know, the basics. The video actually has some decent writing – kudos to Day 1 Studios.
Slated to arrive (after two pushbacks) on June 21st this summer, F.E.A.R. 3 is looking to deliver a new, refreshing multiplayer atmosphere to online gaming. Ultimately, we want scary, and we want it all the time. Scary games don’t let the player get comfortable with one play style: F.E.A.R. 3 needs to deliver a game where only after 20 minutes of playing, we feel as if we’ve played for hours. Not the other way around.

I’m not gona lie, I pretty much turned off teh console after playing the first level of the first game and I kinda regret doing that because this series seems like I should have kept on playing it rather than be a wuss. I hope its good so I can say I should have gotten into it more.
The two games were both scary in their own right. While the first one was much scarier with their enemies, the second installment boasted much better environmental effects.
The third needs to put all three together, plus find a new plane of horror.
ok, I’m sorry and I am probably posting this info in the wrong area but I F”N KNEW IT!!! APPARENTLY THE HACKERS ARE NOW ATTACKING INDIVIDUAL WEBSITES AND WHAT I MEAN BY I F”N KNEW IT IS ANYONE CAN F”N BE HACKED SO SUCK IT MICRO FANBOYS (srry if that offends anyone but the things I’ve been hearing are really aggravating me). Apparently the website for Deux ex human revolution was hacked and the signature of the lead hacker was placed on the website for quite some time. personal info was taken from resumes posted there. no official evidence showing any relation between ps3 hackers and these but it is likely. not sure if any other sites were hacked.
